conservatives should keep Mr Brock at arms length. My experience with him is this: he may be "right-wing" in the sense he favors small government, less taxes and so on. But as I found out working with him in a political campaign in Toronto, he is a fairly radical atheist/secularist who has picked many battles with social conservatives before... as far as I know... Brock supports same-sex marriage, the abolition of secondary school board in Ontario, etc...
so remember that while he is intolerant of Islam... i have found him just as intolerant of Christianity. Don't be fooled by Mike.

Radical? What exactly does that mean? I find myself extremely tolerant of religion. I have respect and admiration for many religious people. But if you find me opposing the use of the state as an instrument for pushing religious values, then umm.. I guess that I'm radical.
George, What do Mike Brock's opinions on same-sex marriage, for instance ("as far as [you] know" what those opinions are), have to do with his well-reasoned posts on the freedom of speech and HRCs issues? All such "arguments" fall under the ad hominem logical fallacy, heavily employed by the anti-free-speechers, wherein one, having no good counter-argument, instead attacks the other person's character, or associations, or opinions on unrelated subjects.

LOL give me a break, Muslims suffering well yes they are because of Muslim on Muslim violence. The usual reason one side thinks the other side isn't Muslim enough, yawn. Honestly we kuffars and infidels aren't stupid, globally Muslims are killing thousands daily in the name of Allah. How are Jews and Christians dominating you? We in the WEST will never, I repeat never- allow Sharia Law. Nor will we accept cultural practices of spousal beatings, genital mutalation, polygamy, selling female children over the phone or internet and calling it a "Legal Marrage". I feel sad for those Muslims that want to live in the seventh century, I really do but we are not going to allow Seventh Century Islam to take root in the West.
Islam needs a reformation to survive, that isn't us infidels or the Jew's fault. It's Islams leaders' fault, if it doesn't reform it won't be compatable with our Modern Culture. You cannot have it both ways, enjoying all the creature comforts that we've invented and ignoring our Modern Culture where women are equal and our children have legal rights. Human rights are a basic right for all humans in the West, Islam isn't superior to Christian or Jewish Culture and it never will. Accept equality and cull out the barbarity that is practiced by some Muslims and the west will welcome Muslims. If Muslims continute to practice seven century Islam we will continue to critize Islam. Women and children will not silently suffer under Wahhabi Style Islam, they may not be allowed to speak out for fear of further abuse but I will always be their voice.
